Tesla Superchargers

We have 12 Tesla Superchargers available in our North car park, which is adjacent to the Odeon Cinema, offering the fastest charging option when away from home, allowing you to charge your car up to 172 miles in 15 minutes.

The Superchargers are available to Tesla EVs and also other compatible EVs with CCS compatibility.

To use a Supercharger, simply plug in and charge automatically. With the Tesla app, you can view Supercharger stall availability, monitor your charge status or get notified when you’re ready to go.

The fees for Non-Tesla charging are as follows:

00:00 - 16:00 £0.59/kWh

16:00 - 20:00 £0.74/kWh

20:00 - 00:00 £0.59/kWh

Idle Fees (up to) £1.00/min

Q - How can I pay for a session?
A- Plug the charging connector into your vehicle charge port. The charge port LED will flash green once charging has begun.
You can monitor your charging progress in the Tesla app. Once you unplug your vehicle, your payment will be processed directly from the payment method in the Tesla app.

Q - How do I start a Supercharging session if I don't own a Tesla vehicle?
A- If you have added a Supercharging payment method in your Tesla Account, use the Tesla app. If you’re using a V4 Supercharger, you can also initiate a charge session directly from the Supercharger post.

If you do not have a Tesla Account, you can still charge by finding the Supercharger site online HERE. Once you locate the site, tap the ‘Superchargers Open to Other EVs’ button.

Q - What do I do if I'm experiencing a problem whilst using a Supercharger?
A- Superchargers are monitored closely and regularly serviced by Tesla Service Technicians to address any technical issues as quickly as possible. If you identify a broken or inoperable Supercharger, use another Supercharger at the same location.

RAW Charging with ChargePoint

We have 14 ChargePoint spaces, with 6 in our Main car park to the right of Clarks and the other 8 in our South car park, to the right of the bridge walkway leading to Odeon. All units include universal charging for all types of electric vehicles, allowing charge in as little as 3 hours for most cars.
The price to charge is £0.60p per kWh (this is subject to market fluctuations) and a £1.00 flat usage fee.

Q - How can I pay for a session?
A- You can pay for a charging session via the ChargePoint app, ChargePoint RFID cards, some roaming services and contactless payment.

Q- Is there a customer support line I can contact?
A- ChargePoint provide a 24/7 driver support service to assist drivers in need. The number is 02075 195 052. This number is displayed in the ChargePoint app and on the charger's display as well. The call centre will be able to handle almost all customer issues you may experience.

Q- How do I unlock my cable?
A – Ensure the charging session is finished before unlocking the connector from your car first, followed by the charger if you have used your own cable. You will need to ensure your car is unlocked to disconnect the cable from your car.

Q – Why is my contactless card not working?
A – The transaction will be recognised by the charger and sent to the customer’s bank for approval. If the bank does not recognise EV Charging as an acceptable transaction, it will not authorise the customer’s transaction. Therefore, the charger will not authorise the session. So, contactless may work for one customer but not for another.

Q – The charger says it can do 22kW, why is my session slower than this?
A – This is usually dependent on the customer’s vehicle’s charging capacity. Common charging speeds on the EV market will be 3.7kW, 7.4kW, 11kW and occasionally 22kW. The most common being 11kW and 7.4kW. The charger will only distribute what the car is capable of taking. As well as this, if two plugs on the same charger are connected, the charger will split the available power between those two cars. For example, if two cars capable of charging at 22kW plug in to the charger, the charger will give 11kW each to the cars. There are other factors which effect charging speeds but these are the most common reasons.
